6 Villa Complexes Near Mineral Springs to be Built in Banite, Smolyan

Bulgarian and Irish companies are to invest over EUR 100 million in the construction of villa complexes in the Banite municipality in the Smolyan region. The investors have shown interest in the contruction of three villa complexes near the village of Bossilkovo and of another three in the villages of Zagrazhden, Glogino and Tranitsa, Banite Mayor, Raicho Danailov said. The villa complexes in the village of Bossilekovo will cover an area of 600,000 sq.m. of which 500,000 sq.m. have already been bought by Bulgarian-Irish joint ventures which plan to invest BGN 50 million. The procedure for the drafting of a Detailed Site Development Plan of the villa zone nestled below the Svoboda peak has been launched. There are also investment interest towards the spa town of Banite which is well-known for its climate hot mineral springs. Three new hotels with a total of 200 beds are to be built in the village of Banite in 2007.
