End of Winter Tourist Season in Bulgaria
18.04.2007The tourist attendance in Bansko winter resort was between 10 and 15% lower this year, than the previous season 2005/2006. This was reported by Yanka Rahova, deputy of the Unity of Tourist Business in Bansko. What makes impression is that the most occupied hotels were the 4-stars rated. Ski conditions in Bansko are better than in the most of the European winter resorts, but the lack of advertisement is probably the main reason for the low number of visitors this year. Winter season is officially ended. All ski tracks and trails on Vitosha mountain are also closed.
